I have so many small space tips. There can be so many challenges when living in a small space. Is it possible to design your dream room in a limited space? It is definitely possible. While a small space can have limited functionality at times, there are still plenty of possibilities to work out having a nice cofortable home when having limited space. Do you have any hacks or tips for small spaces? Here are mine!
Clothes racks or any self-standing storage can be very useful. It’s a common occurrence that closets are not available in small homes, or the closet may need to be used for something else other than clothing. This is where a clothing rack can come in handy. While you may or may not need additional storage for clothing, having a rack will already help a lot in terms of space.
Another helpful standing storage would be shelves. In the picture above, you see a bookshelf. You can style it in such a way where you fit in what you need, but you can still decorate it how you want. We actually offer a service to help you decorate your shelving so you can check that out here!
Small Tables and Other Furniture
This may be very obvious but definitely opt for tiny tables and other furniture. Since you’re so limited on space, Do you need a dining table or would something small (like the image above) would be suffice? When shopping for furniture, you always need to put into consideration how large something is, where can you put it, will it fit, and will it help enhance your home or make it smaller.
Our Instant E-Decor Library has plenty of themes for various rooms, what’s the best part is that we give you a generic shopping list so it can help you choose what style you want of something and even help find a size that’s best for your home and space.
Also something to keep in mind that is super helpful is to look into furniture that has multiple uses. Some beds and couches will have a secret storage space under the matress or cushions.
Baskets and other bins really help enhance your home while at the same helping clean up and hide the clutter. Baskets are so easy to come by, plenty of thrift shops have them at steep disounts compared to purchasing from retail shops.
Another suggestion would be storage that has multiple uses. This can be a table that has a storage space, or an ottoman since they act as a storage for blankets and as footrest.
Just like bookshelves, wall storage is another excellent way to add some nice decor to the room while also utilizing the space that you have. This is honestly one of my favorite storage tips for small spaces and homes. Adding shelving to the wall can really make a huge difference and can also add a lot of personality to the space as well.
