Hit thrift stores for well-made furnishings
Thrift shopping isn’t just for buying second-hand clothing. Usually, there are plenty of furnishings too, from dishes, accessories/ knick-knacks, curtains, all the way up to furniture itself. What’s great about thrift shops is how environmentally friendly there are, you don’t have to worry about causing an environmental impact when you’re purchasing second-hand. What a lot of people like to do is restore old furniture and make it into something new, it’s like getting an entirely new piece of furniture all on a budget that’s personalized to you.
Know what you’re willing to compromise on
Think about what your budget should be, how far above your budget you’re willing to go. Think of things you absolutely want to spend more on. Also, compromise with what you’re willing to give up on or do without. Also, decide what would be cheaper versus practical. When decorating on a budget, there will always need to be some sort of compromise, especially if you’re not the only one living in the space.
